01 — Practice

Four decades of work that disappears into the walls.

SS Contractors was started by Sarangdhar Pradhan in 1986. He still prices every job himself and visits every site. Most of the work is for owners of independent villas, for developers and for consulting engineers who need a contractor that will read a BoQ line by line.

We quote supply and installation, or labour only, item by item against your drawings. Each line states its material, standard and size, so it can be checked against the specification. Hot, cold and return lines are insulated, and every line is pressure-tested before the tiles go on.

02 — Scope

From the sump to the terrace tank, one contractor.

  1. 01

    Water supply

    Internal and external hot, cold and return lines in CPVC, PPR, SS 304 and GI, with control valves at every branch, insulation and pressure testing.

  2. 02

    Soil, waste & rainwater

    SWR and low-noise drainage pipes, external 160 mm lines on pedestals, manholes, gully traps, rainwater down-takes and harvesting pits.

  3. 03

    Sanitary & CP fittings

    Wall-hung and floor WCs, basins, showers, bathtubs and concealed diverters, fixed, aligned and tested to the manufacturer’s specification.

  4. 04

    Plant & equipment

    Heat pumps, water softeners, RO plants, booster and pressure pumps, bore and sump motors, overhead and underground tanks, all fully connected.

  5. 05

    Waterproofing

    Toilets, balconies, terraces, sumps and water tanks, done in sequence with the plumbing so that nothing is broken open twice.

  6. 06

    Pools & landscape

    Swimming pool inlet and outlet connections, car-wash and garden points, and supply from the municipal line to the sump.

05 — Method

How a job runs.

  1. Drawings & BoQSend the architectural and plumbing drawings, or the consultant’s BoQ in Excel. We read them floor by floor.
  2. Itemised quotationRates are filled into your own BoQ for supply and installation, or for labour only. GST is shown separately.
  3. ExecutionOur own crew lays out, chases, lays and fixes the lines, coordinated with your civil and electrical contractors.
  4. Testing & handoverEvery line is pressure-tested and every fixture is commissioned before we hand over.
